Laura gives you your evenings back. A teacher's single biggest time sink is marking and assessment: roughly 40 hours in an active school month, almost always in the evening and at the weekend. That is exactly where Laura steps in.

Based on working-time studies (including Göttingen/GEW Berlin, Telekom Foundation) and a marking-cost analysis: around 35 to 45 hours of marking and assessment per active school month, over roughly nine active school months. The hourly value of 43.40 euros is the full employer cost per hour worked across the economy (German Federal Statistical Office, 2024), assessed through internal research and calculation. The same value underpins the marking-time calculator. Calculated conservatively and adjustable by you.
And that is only the marking.
Alongside it, a teacher settles and manages a dozen small things every day that appear on no timetable:
- Keeping the class register, tracking absences and late arrivals
- Documenting support plans, disadvantage compensation and dyslexia cleanly
- Parent emails, phone calls, consultation days and advisory talks
